About

I'm building the tool I want for my own house.

I'm Brian — a solo developer and a homeowner. I started Houses 2 Homes because keeping track of my home (what was fixed, what it cost, what’s coming up) quietly turned into a second job. This is the app I made for myself first.

Hi, I'm Brian

Founder & Developer

I wanted to create an app that makes keeping up with my house feel less like a job.

I’m the developer, the designer, the support inbox, and the person keeping the lights on.

I’m also a homeowner with a home to look after, and that’s the reason I created this app. What started as my own notebook for paint colors, filter sizes, contractor names and project receipts turned into the tool you’re looking at — because I got tired of losing things in email threads and phone photos.

I’m doing this because I genuinely want a simpler way to own a home, both for what it costs me and for what it asks of me. If that’s useful to you too, I’m glad you’re here.

What I'm trying to make easier

Three sides of the same problem: the records, the money, the calendar.

Centralize everything

Maintenance records, appliance manuals, paint colors, project photos, contractor contacts — one place, organized by room and by property. No more digging through email.

See what your home actually costs

Track what every repair, replacement and improvement runs. Break it down by room, by year, by category — without spreadsheets.

Stay ahead of maintenance

Gentle reminders before something breaks instead of after. Filter changes, dryer vents, gutters — routine stuff, never a surprise.

What this is, and what it isn't

Quick honesty about scope, before you spend time signing up.

What it is
  • A personal tool for the home (or few homes) you actually own
  • A room-by-room record of what’s in your house and how it was built
  • A maintenance schedule with reminders, kept quietly in the background
  • A simple ledger for what each project cost you
What it isn't
  • A real-estate listings or home-value site
  • A social network for homeowners
  • An AI assistant that talks to your contractors for you

What I'm committing to

Three things I'll try to keep true, even as the app grows.

01

Quiet by default

No streaks, no badges, no nudge-to-engage email. The app shows up only when something actually needs your attention.

02

Your data is yours

Full home report export. If you cancel, your archive comes with you on the way out.

03

Useful features, not gimmicks

Features you will actually use to make your life easier. AI sprinkled in where it's useful, but not the main attraction.

Email

Questions, feedback, or just want to say hi?

There's only one inbox and I'm in it. Tell me what you're tracking, what you wish worked differently, or what made you smile. I read everything.
